Loosing a job is devastating enough, but it’s too much when there are no job opportunities available. Once you were a productive member in society, then you sit at home idle. The toll it takes on your mind is harsh.
Unfortunately, today's economic recession provides little opportunity in finding another job in Corporate America so people are creating their own job opportunities by going outside their comfort zone. You may never earn what you used to earn; however, the good news is that there are still job opportunities available, such as, babysitter, pet sitter, or house sitter. Agencies, where you can register, will find the jobs for you.
If you have traveled in the past, that’s a criterion for becoming a
travel agent. Plus, agents get discounts at nice resorts, airfare, and
restaurants.
Also, starting your business is another way to create job opportunities. Avon was started by a woman who lost her job. There are a lot of business opportunities on the Web 2.0 for a home business.
The Web 2.0 has job opportunities to make money writing and selling blogs. Also, when you have your own website, you can earn ad revenue. It may take six years until the website starts to pay off. However, persistence is the key to success. By regularly updating your website with content, you do add value which eventually create traffic to your site.
On a positive note the economic downturn has changed a lot of people's lives for the better. They are becoming their own boss. With all its hills and dales, having a home business is a satisfying venture.
