There is Something for Everyone on Mackinaw Island

Off the coast of Michigan in Lake Huron there is a romantic island called Mackinaw Island. There are no cars on the island; however, the island is so small you can easily get around on foot, bicycle, or horse drawn carriage.
There are many activities on the island. Boating, of course, is a big on the island. During the summer months, there are boat races. There are also golf courses on the island.
There are historical sites which you can explore. The Grand Hotel is a historical site which is still put to good use today. The quaint stores have unique merchandise. The island particularly is known for its fudge.
