Adrenal fatigue occurs after a stressful event causes your adrenal glands to be overworked. This causes an imbalance in your body. Several factors can help get your adrenal glands back on track such as diet, supplements, and lifestyle changes.
A proper diet can help cure adrenal fatigue. Eating unprocessed carbs and protein is a great way to help get your body on the right track. Your body is able to process these foods much more easily. Eating regular meals is just as important as what you eat. Getting onto a schedule for eating will help get your adrenal glands functioning in concert with the rest of your body.
A wide variety of supplements are available to help get your adrenal glands back on track. Many doctors, nurses, and other proponents of adrenal health sell their own mixes claiming they know how to cure adrenal fatigue. If you decide to use these supplements be sure to research them first. Adding vitamins to your diet can increase the likelihood of overcoming adrenal fatigue. Vitamin C, E, B, and B-6 all are great to add to your diet.
Several lifestyle changes can have a positive impact on your adrenal glands. The simplest change you can make is getting proper sleep. Sleeping at least eight hours on a comfortable bed is vital to recharging your body. Having a regular sleeping schedule is important as well. Try to go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. Another lifestyle change is limiting the stress in your life.
Stress is what caused the adrenal fatigue in the first place so it is important to learn how to relax. Simple relaxation techniques, such as, meditation or deep breathing are beneficial.
