When I needed to supplement my income, I came up with the idea of renting out my spare room. However, I would need to paint over the Granny Apple Green colored walls. At Home Depot after consulting with their on site paint specialists, I choose a beautiful eggnog white shade for the walls.
Even though prospective renters loved what I did to the spare bedroom, their smiles turned upside down when they saw my kitchen. I knew that if I wanted to rent the spare room I would have to remodel the kitchen.
Remodeling a kitchen is quite an expensive project. There is, however, a new remodeling technique which is a cost savings. It's called cabinet refacing. I got several quotes and cost saving ideas from contractors. Nevertheless, Home Depot won the business because of their workers have a good reputation and Home Depot's length of time being in the business. After a consultation with their Interior Designer, Maria Morrison, CKD, I was again glad that I choose Home Depot to do my cabinet refacing.
Now, not only have I refreshed the spare bedroom, I have a beautiful kitchen. Do I have a problem finding someone to rent my room? Not anymore.
